Team Building and
Relationship
Awareness
ONE OR TWO DAY TRAINING PROGRAM
How do I get my team to work as an efficient and motivated team?
If you are a team member, a
team leader or a manager, teamwork may be your biggest
challenge. In this workshop, you will address key issues in
team building and relationship awareness by addressing the
following concerns:
- How can members of a team work from their strengths, i.e., their personal strengths and the strengths of each team member?
- When does a strength become a weakness, possibly leading to a conflict situation?
- Are all team members motivated by the same values? How do we blend the sources of individual motivations to create a stronger team?
- Why are some team members more motivated when they work in groups, others more efficient when they are working by themselves while other team members are always anxious to get things started?
The “Team Building and Relationship Awareness Workshop” will provide tools to help you better understand your team members and build stronger working relationships. Regardless of the nature of a team (e.g., Functional, Interdisciplinary, Program), understanding how a team works and remains motivated is the cornerstone of balance, focus, satisfaction, collaboration and results in the workplace.
This one-day workshop explores ways to achieve and raise the potential of a team through a better understanding of the motivational value system each member brings to the team. How does this system play out on “good” days (when things are going well) and on “bad” days (when there is conflict or tension)?
When individuals are able to manage and maximize their own strengths, they can understand what motivates their team members. This "place of openness" results in non-judgmental acceptance of each other’s behaviours, decisions and ways of working.
You probably have Blue members in your team, Red members and Green members, and most likely you have a mix of all three colours, plus some blends. Understanding the motivational colours behind the behaviours changes how team members perceive and support each other.
What happens when someone always wants to take care of the others and wants to be included in all the activities?
What happens when someone is always ready to go before the others and has no patience for those who are overly cautious?
What happens when someone always needs to review everything over and over and has difficulty trusting others?
Working with all three motivational colours will help your team to:
- Build on each other's strengths
- Learn how to use feedback based on individual needs and motivations
- Focus on results instead of competition
- Appreciate what each team member brings to the team
- Manage conflict effectively and create opportunities for innovation
- Produce exceptional results by managing conflict and creating positive relationships
